Classy hearts wedding!

Monday, May 18th, 2009

You can definitely call their wedding amazing with all the heart wedding accessories they had for decoration. The presents, the invitations, the whole nine yards, all of the things in their wedding had a heart decoration of some kind on it. The classy hearts favors they sent out had a couple of silver hearts on the outside with the scheduling and contact information all printed so that it was right there when you opened it up. They were really quite beautiful. They picked out very elegant candle holders for the unity and tapered candles, and of course there were two small hearts dangling from the unity candle. The flowers and candles added an exquisite touch to the altar. Hearts were on the sides of the church pew where the wedding tulle was attached. The fact that they tied the knot on Valentine’s Day no doubt had something to do with the whole hearts idea. It was an incredible wedding, highlighted by a bride that was so lovely, she could have been an angel.
At the reception there were hearts and flowers everywhere you looked. The silver hearts wedding theme carried over to the place cards holders at the reception tables, and they complimented the red and white rose centerpieces beautifully. The table settings glittered with glasses for wine and champagne. She did an awesome job of designing the place settings at the reception. There were customized wine glasses with the date of the wedding and the names of the couple, along with crystal champagne flutes. On the table that the wedding party sat at, the new couple had very special champagne glasses. It was very much like the silver hearts wedding invitation they sent out; it was a silver double hearts wedding champagne glass for each of them.
They had a little magnificent hearts wedding cake with five layers of heavenly confection. It looked as good as it tasted. The cake topper she chose, believe it or not, wasn’t a heart, but, figurines that looked exactly like the bride and groom. The wedding cake topper was special, the only one of that type I’ve ever been exposed to. She said she bought it at a wedding website where she got all of her accessories and reception supplies. They apparently do customizing on wedding toppers, and all she had to do was send in photos of her and her fiance and they made the special cake topper couple. I’m sure they’ll treasure that forever.
In the end, we gave a classy hearts wedding to all of the guests. One gift was an adorable votive candle holder, and the other was a package of coffee, decorated differently for the ladies versus the men, that came with a heart-shaped utensil to scoop the coffee with. It struck me as a neat pair of gifts to give everyone. Really, there was no shortage of awesome thoughts for the wedding. Obviously, Valentine’s Day made the hearts thing a natural fit, but the way she did it was quite classy. I really thought the wedding cake topper was the most awesome of all. It would be great if they did that for birthdays and other ocassions too. She offered to show me where she got everything, and she said that they have something for every occasion. They couldn’t have put it together any better, and all of the people who went had a smashing time there. Their Mexico honeymoon is probably even more fun than the wedding was. When they get back home, I’m anxious to look through their pictures with them, and hear about all the fantastic things we saw and did in Mexico. From the brochures she showed me, it’s looks magnificent.

Fabolous favor pens

Monday, April 20th, 2009

I decided to go online to find a wedding guest pen for my wedding reception, and it turned out to be a great decision! There were tons of wedding themes you could choose from, as well as styles and colors of decorations and accessories. They had a lot of themes for weddings and receptions that you could choose from, that I really liked. Our wedding date is set for January, so I was thinking about having a winter wonderland ceremony and reception. Too bad we were’nt getting married in December, I think a Christmas wedding would really have been spectacular, with a big Christmas tree and lots of decorations. But from all the themed wedding accessories I’ve seen, a winter wedding is beautiful too. A winter wedding was the one I chose. Now I had to get started with all my wedding plans.

First I found the perfect winter wonderland wedding invitations to send to our friends and family. Then I went for all the winter accessories for our wedding ceremony, from flower girl basket to ring boy pillow. I thought I had everything I needed for the perfect winter wonderland wedding, but I was wrong. I forgot all about the wedding guest book and wedding pen! So, back through the wedding accessories I went and checked out all the winter wedding guest books and wedding pen sets they had, and found the perfect one for us. There were snowflakes, hints of blue and perfect little crystals on the cover of our winter wedding guestbook. They also had the wedding pens that went perfectly with this gorgeous winter guestbook. While I was on the search for our guest book and pen, I also decided to find our wedding photo album. Not only did they have a great selection of wedding albums, but some pretty nice anniversary albums too. I could use this selection in a few years too.

Now I was ready to move on to the supplies and decorations I needed for our wedding reception. There was everything for the perfect winter wonderland wedding and I started with the crystal champagne flutes with the decorative winter themed stems, designed just like our wedding guest book and pen. They have such beautiful wedding stemware. The glassware, gel candles and lovely winter centerpieces I chose really made our tables look spectacular. If you’re like me and my fiance and you’re watching your budget, this place can really help with wholesale accessories and supplies they have to offer. I was surprised at what little we paid for such exquisite accessories.

They have a terrific selection of wedding toppers for you to pick from. We had a beautiful cake topper with a bride and groom enjoying the winter season. We had a gorgeous five tiered winter wedding cake with sugar snowflakes along with icy blue and red winter designs. We used a big silver sled design for our wedding cake stand. Our sled cake stand got a lot of compliments from our friends and family and I had to thank my fiance for that creative suggestion.

We had snowmen place card holders on the reception tables for all of our guests. I also chose wedding favors that were little snowflake gel candles for our guests. But what I thought was a really decorative addition to the tables were the snowflake favor boxes their wedding favors came in. They really made the tables look so festive. The favor pens went over surprisingly well, and everyone really had a wonderful time at the reception. The wedding ceremony and the winter reception was everything I wanted it to be, and I’m so glad I decided to give the online shopping a try. It really helped out a lot with the planning and decorating.

Great styles for ring pillows

Thursday, April 9th, 2009

Online shopping for our reception accessories, flower baskets, and ring bearer pillows was my mom’s idea. She said it beats running from store to store and all there is to do is check them out, order the ones I like and wait for delivery. She was right, I even found the perfect wedding invitations to send out, and some other accessories, all at reasonable prices. Our invitations weren’t the only thing I saved money on, I also saved on other accessories too. I saved money on all the tiaras I needed for myself, bridesmaids and my flower girl, plus a lot of other accessories, like flower girl basket, rose petals and I also found terrific ring bearer pillow wedding suggestions. I was surprised there could be so many styles and designs for wedding ring pillows.

As far as reception supplies, they had everything. Along with the glassware I added beautiful candles to make each table setting as elegant as possible. They had a lot of suggestions for themed weddings and even destination weddings, with all kinds of wedding favor ideas. Some for a beach wedding, winter wedding, garden wedding and more, with beautiful and decorative favor boxes to choose from too. There were great little novelty favors too, like Vegas wedding gifts for friends and family, keychains, photo frames and more with a Las Vegas theme to them.

The crystal paperweights I bought made the perfect little thank you gifts for our guests. Athough the favors were an added touch of elegance all on their own, I packaged them in exquisite little favor boxes. My favorite item I purchased was our cake topper. I think I liked the topper better than I did the cake itself. The butterfly with the beautiful satin bow really made an exquisite wedding cake topper.

Everyone seemed impressed with the décor and their wedding favors. Some of the guests came up and thanked me for their gifts and told me how beautiful they were. What I really liked about this place I shopped was the fact they have more than just cake toppers and a ring pillow. There are ideas and selections for all parties, including showers, birthday and girls night out parties. Ijust found out that this is where my sister got everything she needed for my wedding shower. She said mom had told her about it too.

I’m planning on giving my sister a baby shower next month and I know exactly where I’m getting the party supplies and cake topper. I’ve already been checking out some of the party favors, but I’m waiting until next week to order them. That’s when she finds out if she is having a girl or boy. Then I can order the favors in pink or blue, even though there are other neutral colors I could choose.

I want to thank my mom for pointing me towards this easy way to shop, it saved me a lot of time and money. I also want to thank her for helping with the reception arrangements and filling out all those thank you cards. Thanks for all of your wonderful suggestions and all of your help, mom. Maybe I can use this online shopping thing for our future anniversary parties. They had some very nice ideas for anniversaries, like decorations, cake toppers and even favor gifts for guests. There were some very excellent selections for mom and dad’s 30th anniversary. I think I’ll get a hold of my sister so we can check out the possibilities together. No use waiting until the last minute, it’s not that much longer before they reach their 30th year as man and wife.
